Roofing Tax Credit
Tax Credit: 30% of material cost up to $1500
Expires: December 31, 2010
Details: Must be an existing home & your principle residence. New
construction and rentals do not qualify.
Roof System (Metal and Ashphalt Roofs)
* Qualified roof products reflect more of the sun's
rays, which can lower roof surface temperature by up to 100 degrees,
decreasing the amount of heat transferred into your home.
Requirements
"Metal roofs with appropriate pigmented coatings" and "shingle roofs with
appropriate cooling granules" that also meet Energy Star requirements.
Tax credit does not include installation costs.

File Tax
Form 5695 with your return.
You must have a
Manufacturer's Certification Statement
to qualify.
